Diagnosis With Brief Discussion

Diagnosis
Pyothorax-associated diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (PAL)
Radiologic Findings
Chest radiograph shows a large mass-like lesion with pleural calcification in the left lower hemithorax. A bulging soft tissue lesion is also noted in the left lower chest wall.
Enhanced CT scan demonstrates thick pleural calcification in the left lower hemithorax, and extensive mass-like consolidation occupying left lower lobe with transdiaphragmatic and transmural extension to the chest and abdominal wall. This lesion also extends to the retroperitoneum and involves the left kidney.
